Step 1: Make the Saunf Sarbat Powder
First, break the rock sugar into smaller pieces so it doesn’t damage your blender.
Take a blending jar and add the fennel seeds, broken rock sugar, green cardamoms, black peppercorns, black salt, and regular salt.
Blend everything together until it forms a smooth, fine powder.
Your basic Saunf Sarbat Recipe premix powder is ready! You can store this in an airtight container for later.
Step 2: Make the Classic Saunf Sarbat (Drink 1)
Take a serving glass and drop in 3 ice cubes.
In a separate bowl, take a glass of cold water and mix in 1.5 tablespoons of your prepared saunf powder.
Stir the water well and pour it over the ice cubes in your glass. Your classic cooling drink is ready!
Step 3: Make the Basil Seed Sarbat (Drink 2)
In a fresh glass, add 3 ice cubes.
Add 3 tablespoons of the soaked basil seeds (sabja).
Pour the classic saunf sarbat water (prepared in Step 2) into this glass and stir well from the bottom so the seeds mix nicely.
Step 4: Make the Mint Lemon Sarbat (Drink 3)
Put a few fresh mint leaves and 3 lemon slices into an empty glass.
Gently crush them with a spoon to release the fresh lemon juice and mint flavour.
Add a few ice cubes, pour in the classic saunf sarbat water, and give it a good mix. Enjoy your tangy drink!
