Cuisine Indian
- 1 cup wheat dough regular chapati dough
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 spoon crushed garlic desi garlic preferred
- 1 spoon crushed ginger
- 0.5 spoon chilli flakes
- 1 block cheese Amul or any brand
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves
- Dry wheat flour for rolling
Prepare the Garlic Butter: Heat a pan on the stove and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once the butter melts, add 1 spoon of crushed ginger and 1 spoon of crushed garlic.
Cook the Garlic: Do not burn. Cook this on low heat for 1 minute until the garlic turns golden brown and crispy. Remove from the heat immediately so it does not burn, then mix in 0.5 spoon of chilli flakes.
Roll the Dough: Take 1 portion of the wheat dough and roll it into a round chapati. Keep it medium thick.
Add the Fillings: Spread the prepared garlic butter mixture evenly all over the rolled chapati. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of chopped coriander leaves and grate about 0.5 block of cheese on top.
Fold and Seal: Fold the chapati from all 4 sides to form a square shape. Press the edges gently to seal the cheese inside.
Roll Gently: Use a light hand. Dust with a little dry flour and use a rolling pin to roll the paratha lightly. Do not press too hard or the cheese will spill out.
Roast the Paratha: Heat a tawa on medium heat and place your Butter Garlic Cheese Paratha on it. Roast both sides using a small amount of extra butter until they become golden brown and crispy. Serve hot!
