Lightly roast the onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, and green chillies in a pan with a little oil.
After roasting, grind these ingredients into a fine paste without adding water.
In a heated pan with oil, add black cardamom, a piece of cinnamon, bay leaf, and cumin seeds then saute this well.
Add the ground paste to the pan and saute for about 2 minutes until oil separates.
Then add garam masala powder, jeera powder, dhane powder, red chilli powder, haldi, and salt. Saute this mixture for another 2 minutes.
Add about one cup of water to the mixture, adjusting the quantity based on the desired consistency and mix it well.
Cover the pan and let the mixture cook for about 5 minutes.
Add 250 gm of paneer to the gravy and mix it well.
Cover the pan and cook until the paneer is heated through and the gravy has thickened to your preference.
Serve and enjoy this Masaledar Paneer.
