Heat a pan and roast the peas until they get dark spots.
Remove the peas and heat oil in the same pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves.
Add chopped onions and saute them well.
Add asafoetida powder, turmeric powder, and the crushed ginger-garlic-green chilli paste.
Saute for 1-2 minutes on medium heat.
Lightly crush the roasted peas.
Add the crushed peas to the pan and mix well.
Add salt and chopped tomatoes, then mix well.
Add coriander-cumin powder, garam masala powder, and red chilli powder. mix it well.
Add roasted groundnut powder and mix thoroughly.
Cover the pan and let it cook on low heat for 5-7 minutes.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
