Homemade Poha and Potato Pakoras: The Perfect Snack or Appetizer

Indians love pakoras and their crunchiness. They are a favorite of everyone and bring back some old memories. This pakora is made from poha and potatoes, which enhance the flavor. When served with tomato chutney, it tastes just right. I made this pakora for my son so that he can eat while working and he loves it.

  • 1In a large bowl add poha, grated potato, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, red chili powder, green chilies, garlic, asafoetida, Coriander, onion, salt, and besan flour.

  • 2Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly

  • 3Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat

  • 4Once the oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the oil, making sure not to overcrowd.

  • 5Fry the pakodas until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides

  • 6Remove the pakodas from the oil and drain on a paper towel

  • 7Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce
