Make Crispy And Delicious Moong Dal Pakodas | Moong Dal Bhajiya

This is an authentic Maharashtrian pakoda (Bhaji) recipe. It is mainly made using Chana Dal (Bengal Gram), but some subscribers told me they can't eat Chana Dal. So, I made the same dish with Moong Dal with the same test. Enjoy pakoras on rainy days or during Indian Festivals like Dhashera.

  • 1Take Moong Dal Flour in a bowl and add turmeric powder, Ajwain, hing, salt, (Green Chilli, Ginger, Garlic) Paste, onion, Coriander Seeds Powder, Cumin Seeds and coriander.

  • 2Mix well until everything is combined.

  • 3You can add a bit of soda as well if you want (optional)

  • 4Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.

  • 5Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil.

  • 6Fry until the pakodas are golden brown on all sides.

  • 7Remove the pakodas from the oil and drain on paper towels.

  • 8Serve hot with green chutney.
