Cabbage Patties For Breakfast

Ingredients
  

  • 150 gm finely chopped cabbage
  • 1 medium-sized batata peeled and grated (excess water squeezed out)
  • 1 cup fresh green peas coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 medium-sized chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp ajwain carom seeds
  • A pinch asafetida hing
  • 1 tsp cumin and coriander seeds powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp green chilli, ginger, garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup gram flour besan
  • 1 tbsp rice flour
  • A pinch of eating soda

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped cabbage, grated potato (after squeezing out excess water), coarsely chopped green peas, chopped coriander leaves, and chopped onion.
  • Add the white sesame seeds, carom seeds (ajwain), hing (asafoetida), cumin-coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, crushed (ginger, garlic and green chillies). Mix everything well.
  • Add the gram flour and rice flour. Mix thoroughly until all the ingredients are well combined.
  • Add a pinch of baking soda and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Take small portions of the mixture and flatten them into small patties. Carefully slide these patties into the hot oil.
  • Fry the patties on medium heat, ensuring they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  • Once fried, remove the patties from the pan and drain any excess oil.
  • Serve them hot and enjoy this unique and flavorful snack.
