I really like Poha. I make Poha at home every day for breakfast. I have loved cooking since childhood and enjoy making something new and different each time. I really like recipes made with Sukat (dried small prawns). So, one day I thought of making a breakfast dish using Sukat and Poha, and it turned out very tasty. That’s why I thought I would share it with you too. Do try it, it tastes really good. Poha Sukat Breakfast Recipe.
Ingredients:
- 2 bowls of Sukat (small dried shrimp/fish)
- Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- Curry Leaves
- 2 Onion Chopped
- 2 Green Chilli Chopped
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 tbsp Tomato Chopped
- 2,1/2 Cup Poha (flattened rice)
- Salt to taste
- Coriander Leaves
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Coconut Grated
- 1/2 Lemon Juice

Instructions:
- Clean 2 bowls of sukat and dry fry them in a pan for 2-3 minutes on medium heat until crispy.
- Wash the fried sukat with 2-3 changes of water.
- Heat oil in the same pan.
- Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When they splutter, add curry leaves, 2 chopped large-sized onions and saute until golden brown.
- Add 2 chopped green chillies and saute.
- Add turmeric powder and mix well.
- Add 2 spoons of chopped tomato and saute for 1 minute.
- Add the washed sukat and saute for 1 minute.
- Add the washed poha (flattened rice) and mix gently.
- Add salt to taste and mix it well.
- Add chopped coriander and ½ bowl of grated coconut, Saute the mixture on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Finally, add the juice of ½ lemon and saute for 1 minute.
- Serve and enjoy this Poha Sukat Breakfast Recipe.
