Quick Easy Masala Potatoes | Masaledar Potatoes

Make spicy potatoes quickly with minimal ingredients to serve as a side dish with your meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 300 gm of small potatoes chopped
  • Oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Curry Leaves Chopped
  • 6-7 garlic cloves chopped
  • 5-6 green chillies chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala powder
  • Coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder optional

Instructions
 

  • Wash and cut the potatoes.
  • Heat oil in a pan, then add butter and let it melt.
  • Add curry leaves and saute.
  • Add the potatoes and saute on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove the lid and continue to saute on medium heat.
  • Push the potatoes to the side of the pan and add garlic and green chillies. Saute until they are cooked.
  • Mix the garlic and chillies with the potatoes.
  • Add salt and mix well.
  • Add chat masala and mix well.
  • Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Optionally, add Kashmiri chilli powder for colour and mix well.
  • Continue to cook on low heat, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld.
  • The masaledar potatoes is ready to serve.
